GOVERNMENT DEGREE COLLEGE, KUPPAM

Govt degree college was established  on 28.08.2008  with the continued and restless efforts of local senior academicians , leaders and parents . The college was started in MFC college building with fewer number students and by now it has grown up by 1200 students in 2020-2021.  During 2018-19 academic year the college got its own building, situated in a beautiful and serene atmosphere of hill and having hill view   back drop with the campus area of  7.5 acres.

            The college got UGCrecognition under 2(f) on 03-07-2012 and looking forward for the 12(b), which will be sanctioned within a short course of time. This college is affiliated to S.V.University , Tirupati of Chittoordt.,Andhra Pradesh.

            Since the inception of the institution, has been striving to promote academic excellence. It is creating itself to the cause of creating and promoting academic excellence among the stake holders.

            The college is surviving as a breeding ground for hundred of students who travels daily from the radius around 40kms of its vicinity and from more than 40 villages for higher education to our college. Most of students are either first generation or those who opt is college ultimately , when they fall short to complete with those students who hail from well-off families. So are umpteen blocks and limitations in their getting educated . The institution has taken up the onus of nurturing and grooming such raw material in to well educate responsible citizens.

            The institution has well qualified dedicated and experienced faculties. The faculty always strive to channelize the student energies, buildup their confidence levels by way of exposing them to various curricular, co-curricular extracurricular and cultural activities. Th college being having all facilities , such as -class rooms,furnitures, digital and virtual class rooms, and laboratories, the instructions is structured in such a way to import skill oriented, personality development centered, self-reliant educations to them. The faculty of the institution serves to increase their enthusiasm, confidence and try to bring their talents to light in a vivid manner.

            The traditional classroom teaching is supplemented by virtual and digital class room, regular tests, group discussions, lab work, projects, seminars and industry visits. Study material, list of reference books and e-resources are provided to the students. GYM and Sports facilities are made available for the wellbeing and health of the students. These are various committees which take care of the students such as woman grievance committee, anti-ragging committee, discipline committee, various awareness programs were conducted to enhance the Quality of education. The IQAC committee reviews continuously, the progress of syllabus and performances of the student. Academic and administrative records of the students are maintained.
